Health Center in El Salvador

We are building a health center in El Salvador, for children and their families

At TECHO, housing is just the beginning. Through community projects, we work alongside families to improve living conditions and expand access to essential services, like healthcare that are often out of reach.

In El Salvador, many families still face significant barriers to receiving timely and adequate medical care. That’s why we launched a fundraising campaign to build a community health center that brings care closer to where it’s needed most.

Comunidad El Pino

The community of El Pino, located in Tepecoyo, La Libertad Oeste, El Salvador, is home to approximately 160 families and 140 children who face daily challenges accessing basic healthcare services and essential infrastructure.

For families in El Pino, receiving formal medical attention often requires long and costly travel. The nearest hospital, Hospital San Rafael in Santa Tecla, is several miles away. Without reliable transportation, sufficient financial resources, or passable roads (especially during the rainy season), this distance frequently delays or prevents timely medical care.

Our goal is to create a safe, accessible, and welcoming space within the community, where volunteer medics and healthcare professionals can provide essential health services, preventive care, and health education, right where families live.

With your support, we can help lay the foundation for long-term well-being and bring vital healthcare closer to those who need it most.

Together, we can build more than a health center. We can build a healthier, stronger future for this incredible community!

Join us in bringing health, hope, and care to El Pino!
